Think Like A Man

If this song doesn't completely embody what a woman has to do in the adult entertainment industry, I don't know what does...

Now, most Black films released these days rarely interest me.  Filled with bad writing, bad acting, bad editing and bad weaves.  And Black people: it's okay to demand more from our Black-made movies, even Tyler Perry.  I'm tired of us (okay, y'all) rewarding mediocrity. Note to TP - we don't need any more Madea.  But seriously, if we're going to separate ourselves from the herd, we have to do it better than them.

Suffice it to say, I'm excited about this movie.  That hasn't happen in a long time.  They have established actors, a great soundtrack, what looks like some comic chops - let's hope there's a plot underneath all of the fancy make-up and neck-rolling.  I sure hope so.  It'll be a boon for Black filmmakers everywhere; if not, just another embarrassment hitting the $5 DVD bin at Wal-Mart.

Weigh-In #1

According to several articles on how I should 'up' my reader participation, I should offer you an opportunity to directly discuss the issues: my issues, your issues, world issues, the issues of that broad crying in the corner.  In honor of those strippers who lost their jobs due to overzealous management, I'm calling it the…

3 Sides to Every Story

I try very hard not to criticize.  I'm not perfect at it, but I definitely put in more effort than most when it comes to seeing two sides of an issue.  Or should I say three sides: what's right, what's wrong and what's fair.  They overlap, but are never all the same thing.  Take the…

EA Targeted by Anti-Gay Letter Campaign

No one seems to have an issue with Stripper characters. In fact, as an avid fan of The Sims, I believe that exotic dancing should be an employment option for them.  I guess it all depends on the type of 'person' you've created.  That would be quite an entertaining game.  I may be a little…

On the 3rd Day of Vegas…

Okay, so, yeah, I started this draft during the holiday season and then got pretty wrapped up in other things, like having to purge my dismay at my experience with Deluded, but I do apologize.  With that said, I still really love the title - so it stays... Call me crazy, but Vegas wasn't shaping…

StripperLand 2011…really?

Okay, so I'd watch this. Not for the horrific special effects or the bare naked women running around attacking the men, but to laugh my ass off at the thought of someone paying good money to produce such bullshit. And it'd be pretty entertaining. I do have a question -- how do stripper zombies manage to run in stilettos?

Sayonara

I feel good.  Really, really good.  I've expunged that horrid episode and she has served her purpose.  Entertaining my loyal readers.  How did it end?  Well, if you must know, it went a little something like this: Int. Work - My Office - morning I dutifully sit typing at my desk when an IM pops…
