Think Like A Man
If this song doesn’t completely embody what a woman has to do in the adult entertainment industry, I don’t know what does…
Now, most Black films released these days rarely interest me. Filled with bad writing, bad acting, bad editing and bad weaves. And Black people: it’s okay to demand more from our Black-made movies, even Tyler Perry. I’m tired of us (okay, y’all) rewarding mediocrity. Note to TP – we don’t need any more Madea. But seriously, if we’re going to separate ourselves from the herd, we have to do it better than them.
Suffice it to say, I’m excited about this movie. That hasn’t happen in a long time. They have established actors, a great soundtrack, what looks like some comic chops – let’s hope there’s a plot underneath all of the fancy make-up and neck-rolling. I sure hope so. It’ll be a boon for Black filmmakers everywhere; if not, just another embarrassment hitting the $5 DVD bin at Wal-Mart.

I try very hard not to criticize. I’m not perfect at it, but I definitely put in more effort than most when it comes to seeing two sides of an issue. Or should I say three sides: what’s right, what’s wrong and what’s fair. They overlap, but are never all the same thing. Take the … Continue reading 3 Sides to Every Story

I feel good. Really, really good. I’ve expunged that horrid episode and she has served her purpose. Entertaining my loyal readers. How did it end? Well, if you must know, it went a little something like this: Int. Work – My Office – morning I dutifully sit typing at my desk when an IM pops … Continue reading Sayonara
Ever see a woman skipping through the tulips and wondered what the hell she was on? That’s how I feel right now. 1 of 4 of my beloved sex toys has been replaced since Hurricane Deluded swept through my bedroom. I have had, count them, 3 days of vibrating bliss and I am thrilled. Had … Continue reading Hallelujah!
Ugh. Sunday night with Psycho aka Deluded. I was more than happy to keep myself occupied in the kitchen making the salad. With all of my best intentions of being semi-friendly (at least), I just couldn’t muster up too much by way of conversation. I chopped up all of the vegetables and left them on … Continue reading Occupy Atlanta
Sunday morning came way too quickly. She did too, apparently. So much so, that she actually woke up semi-refreshed. I didn’t bring up anything about what I overheard the night before. I didn’t want to give her the satisfaction. I decided that I have to hold myself responsible: I’m that hot. So who could blame … Continue reading Who Does That?
